Scientists are asking U.S. and Canadian residents to help in the scientific investigation of declining and deformed amphibian populations. Below you'll find a collection of monitoring programs which use information from amateur observers around the country, from families, school groups, volunteer organizations and more. These observers help by:

  • Raising public consciousness of environmental issues such as biodiversity and non-point pollution.
  • Protecting, conserving, and creating amphibian breeding sites.
  • Providing invaluable data to experts about the size and scope of problems around the country.
